The coloring of Mepps Aglia Rainbow appeared relatively recently. It is not an imitation of a particular water object, but the sum of reflex elements that provoke the attack of the predator. The outer side of the petal resembles the coloring of brown trout. But this is not its main difference. When rotating the petal, imitation colors are not preserved. They only give a peculiar shade to the moving bait. The main reflective element of the outer surface of the petal is a small crystalline element with 100% light reflection. Underwater, multiple micro-signals characteristic of familiar prey additionally provoke the predator.
